Summer time is here!
What an exciting time in our church! We have just completed Vacation
Bible School ... It was absolutely the best one ever. Thanks so much to
everyone who worked in VBS. Because of your efforts, we had four
children make decisions, and many seeds were planted that will bear
fruit on another day. Please click on my message: "Three Things I Learned in VBS".
We
plan to dedicate our new sanctuary on Saturday, July 25 with a ceremony
for the community. Then we will celebrate on Sunday, July 26 with our
Homecoming service. We are delaying our homecoming by one week to be
able to complete our building project.
Our gratitude and
thanks go out to so many who helped us during the building of our
sanctuary-especially to the Baptist Builders, without whom it would not
have been possible. Many others in the community gave of their time and
money.
There were countless others who prayed everyday for the
work, and God heard and answered their prayers. There are six men
that will always have a special place in my heart for their tireless
dedication and work on the building. They are Glenn Smith, Bucky
Brookshier, Dennis Ramsey, Raymond Hobbs, Carl Smith, and Roy Hall. For
them it was a labor of love for God and the church.
We
are looking forward to our annual revival beginning on the first Sunday
in August. The Rev. Lawton Sammons will be our guest preacher. He is a
great pulpiteer and servant of God.
